Vintage 1978 D & D Well Service Oil Derrick Solid Brass Belt Buckle – Made in USA

A great piece of 1970s American oil-field memorabilia, this vintage solid-brass belt buckle was produced in 1978 and features a highly detailed oil derrick surrounded by bold raised lettering reading “D & D Well Service Inc.”

The buckle has a heavily textured background with raised brass-toned lettering and an intricately rendered drilling derrick at the center. Its darkened recesses contrast beautifully with the naturally aged brass highlights, giving it the rugged industrial character associated with vintage oil-field and Western buckles of the period.

The reverse is clearly marked:

Measuring approximately 3½" wide × 2½" high, this is an especially interesting crossover collectible for vintage buckle collectors as well as collectors of oil & gas, drilling, petroleum and Texas/Western industrial memorabilia.

The buckle retains its vintage patina and surface wear, which I would leave exactly as-is rather than polish. The aged finish is part of its appeal.
